BANSKO SUMMER WALKING PROGRAM |
The town of Bansko (
population 9 134) is situated at 925 m. above the sea level at
the northeastern foot of Pirin beneath the highest and the most
beautiful Karst part of the mountain.
Bansko is one of the
biggest winter resorts in the country. If you add to this its
architectural and historical value,
Bansko is the pearl in the
Bulgarian necklace.
The most impressive one of the surroundings of
Bansko is the legendary
mountain of Pirin.
To the south of Bansko is the
Pirin National Park.
Mountain and the park are the alpine type glacier forms. The
highest peak there is Vihren – 2915m. At the foot of the peaks in
the park, there are more than 180 circus lakes. The biggest
groups of lakes are Bandarishki, Vasilashki, Strazishki, Todorini,
Valjavishki, Popovi, Kremenski, Prevalski, Polenski and Vlahini.
Our program is for 8 days/7 nights starting on every
Friday with 3 walking tours in Bansko and the Pirin National
Park:

1st tour
Walking tour in Bansko.
Visiting few interesting places connected with Bulgarian history
of the town. Lunch. Transfer to the mountain. Walking tour
through a wonderful forest with lots of flowers. Start from "Belite
Chuchure" through "Konarevo", "Julen", "Todorova Ornica".
Transfer to Bansko Hotel

2nd tour
Bus transfer to hut "Vihren". Walking tour to peak "Vihren
"(2915m - the highest in Pirin mountain). Coming back through "Vlahini"
lakes, "Muratovo" lake, hut "Vihren". Tranfer to Bansko. Hotel.
Dinner. (Distance from the hotel to hut "Vihren"is about 18km).

3rd tour
Bus transfer to "Shiligarnika" (Distance about 12km). Walking
tour through a wonderful forest, "Karkamski" lakes, "Todorini
Ochi" lakes, "Vasilashki" lakes, hut "Demianica" along "Todorova
Ornica" river. Transfer to the hotel.

Remarks:
-
The tourists have to carry on small back
packs on the tour for the lunch packet and some clothes. The
lunch packet is prepared at the hotel.

The transfers to the mountain and back are
not more than 20-30min. That saves the time for going very high
in the mountains
-
The programs are flexible and could be
changed on tourists' demands
